All battery disconnects are in UL NEMA 1 enclosure with a UL890 circuit breaker rated for 250vdc nominal,  and have both a 120/60 Shunt Trip Module (Liebert & Default) or a 24v S.T. Module (Powerware, Specify), 24Vac/dc Under-Voltage Release Module (MGE, Mitsubishi, Default) and one auxilliary contact N/C, (Default).  Two pole circuit breakers are suitable for battery systems of 125 cells or less.  Three pole breakers are designed for systems in excess of 125 cells and are to be "Series Connected" to achieve a 500vdc nominal rating.  Series connection requires that the positive conductor be routed through 2 of the 3 breaker poles.  Should you have any questions about this standard dc wiring practice, please contact SBS engineering services at 800-554-2243, xt 309; or email sbs@sbsbattery.com.  ALWAYS CHECK UPS I&O MANUAL FOR PROPER DC BREAKER RATING.  Consult factory for other configurations.
